THE PROCESS We build custom designed, hand made, hand peeled, hand carved, hand hewn pine for your appalachian, southwestern, country or log cabin home. We are in Asheville, North Carolina. We also have pine log beds, bedframes, bunkbeds, etc. Yellow Pine logs are cut to be kiln-dried, ensuring both the proper moisture content and the structural integrity of every bed, chair, sofa, table - everything. Each log is then hand-picked for character, with no two logs being the same. The logs are finished through a process known as draw knifing. Drawknives are used to hand-peel each and every log, leaving every knot and cut enhanced, revealing the natural beauty of the wood. On every fixture, the joints are also doweled, glued and fastened by hand, resulting in exceptionally strong joints.
