If you want great customer service and awesome craftsmanship you need to hire this company!! Lang at Appalachian Designs knew exactly what we wanted and created a rail that is functional but more importantly looks like a piece of art! We could not have asked for anything more beautiful to add to our entryway! Not to mention his crew is top of the line too..very professional and patient and accommodating! We would not hesitate to recommend Lang and his work to anyone and everyone!!

I still look at the table and bench and think, ‘Oh my! I never visualized such pieces of art! So beautiful!’

We wanted something authentic…but it’s not just the work itself (that is appealing); He is very passionate and he portrayed that to me. I totally like his style and was very, very comfortable with him although we had never met.

Several years ago I found your website, perhaps as a young upcoming company. I looked at your furniture online and decided to call you to discuss a king-size bed. Days later, with the help of your friendly staff, I had designed my own Master bed. It arrived packaged like a true treasure. I was amazed at how well you packaged the heavy wood beams, and maintained the integrity of the structure of the whole piece. It was beautiful! Many years have passed, and you still show my bed on your website, and my wife and I still get complements on what a wonderful piece of wood the bed is. All of the years of time show on the beams and yet they are stable, strong and beautiful. At 65 years old, I don’t need any more furniture, but am proud that I own the Reclaimed Beam Bed. You explained how each piece of wood is treated to protect it from determination, yet preserve the beauty of the wood. I can testify to the truth of this claim. In a world of disappointing products, I can honestly say that every night when I go to bed, I look at proof that America can still build an Heirloom. My bed is the best 100+ year-old bed in the world. Thank you all for making it. No one asked me to say this. No one solicited my opinion. I am an old customer that just happened to surface. You can trust these folks to sell you a great piece of furniture.

Lang’s creation of the Root-Cause Initiative to promote the value of the forest products industry at the local level should be congratulated and supported. He is attempting to include private and public groups to support sustainable forestry and the production of locally made wood products that creates local economic growth that is key to our continuing the American success story. Lang understands from the hands-on perspective that the trees in the forest can supply our needs from renewable, not depletable resources. For all his insight and good work we are all grateful.
