How do I order?
Please e-mail us or call us when you are ready to place an order. This will assure us that all questions have been answered before we begin building your railings or furniture. Can we customize?
Yes. Because everything we build is made to order, customization of any kind is usually not a problem. This includes dimensions, log size or stains and finishes. We can also work from a sketch, a photograph, or a picture in a magazine. If you like the style of what we build, we will build you anything.
How much is shipping?
When permissible, items will be shipped UPS. Because of the size of our furniture, most shipments are made via common carrier. We do recommend shipping to a business address as our carriers charge an additional $35-$50 for residential delivery.
Blanket wrapped shipping is also available. If you provide us with a city/zip code and what you would like to order, we will be happy to provide you with a quote. Most bed frames can be shipped in the continental US for under $200.

Do you take credit cards?
Yes, we do! We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express. When you place an order, we require a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance and shipping due before shipment. These payments can be made on your credit card or by mailing a check or money order.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes, we do. Cracks (known as checks), wood knots and variations in color are natural characteristics found in log furniture and chainsaw art. Should any check affect the structural integrity or stability of a piece, Appalachian Designs will repair or replace it. This we will guarantee for life. This guarantee does not apply to outdoor furniture or exterior railing.
What about returns and cancellations?
Because all furniture and railings are made to order, all sales are final and no refunds will be given after 10 days. Please check all merchandise before signing for shipment or discarding packaging materials. Appalachian Designs will not be responsible for any damages not noted at time of delivery.
